Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Permit Junkie ("Service"), operated by Permit Junkie, Inc. ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Permit Junkie provides AI-assisted permit research, document preparation, e-signature, remote online notarization (RON) via third-party providers, fax delivery, and a marketplace connecting property owners with licensed professionals. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.
3. Accounts and Eligibility
You must be 18+ and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure.
4. Payments, Credits & Subscriptions
Paid features are billed through Stripe. Permit Credits are non-cash prepaid usage units, redeemable only within the Service, and expire per plan terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. See our Refund Policy.
5. Marketplace & Third-Party Providers
Contractors, notaries (e.g., BlueNotary), and other professionals in our marketplace are independent third parties. We facilitate introductions and payment; the ultimate services are provided by them. We do not warrant their work and are not a party to your agreement with them.
6. Acceptable Use
No unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, infringing, or high-risk use (e.g., impersonation, forged permits, malware). We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
7. AI Outputs
AI-generated content (summaries, checklists, drafts) may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and validating AI outputs before submission to any authority.
8. Intellectual Property
You retain rights to content you upload. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display your content solely to operate the Service.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES.
10. Limitation of Liability
OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, except for small-claims matters. You waive class-action rights.
12. Changes
