1. Overview

Permit Junkie, Inc. ("we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

2. Information We Collect

• Account: name, email, phone, password hash, workspace.
• Permit data: property address, project details, uploaded documents.
• Payments: billing details tokenized by Stripe (we don't store card numbers).
• Usage: pages viewed, features used, IP address, device/browser.
• Notarization/eSign: ID verification and signature data collected by our providers (BlueNotary, DocuSign) on our behalf.

3. How We Use It

• Provide, secure, and improve the Service.
• Process payments and route work to marketplace pros.
• Send transactional and (with consent) marketing emails.
• Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud.

4. Legal Bases (GDPR)

Contract, legitimate interest, consent (for marketing/analytics cookies), and legal obligation.

5. Sharing

We share data only with vetted subprocessors (Supabase, Stripe, BlueNotary, Telnyx, PostHog, OpenAI/Anthropic via Lovable AI Gateway, Google, Cloudflare) under DPAs, and with authorities when legally required. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Retention

Account data: while your account is active plus 24 months. Financial records: 7 years. Notarized documents: as required by state law (typically 5–10 years).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA, others): access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out of sale/sharing, and non-discrimination. Submit requests to privacy@permitjunkie.com.

8. Security

Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, RLS-scoped databases, HMAC-signed webhooks, and periodic security scans. No system is 100% secure.

9. International Transfers

Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our subprocessors operate, with appropriate safeguards.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13.
